Connelly Shipping Policy for the EU and UK
Thank you for choosing Connelly for your watersports needs. This shipping policy applies to consumer sales within the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK). We aim to provide transparent, reliable, and compliant delivery services in line with EU consumer rights directives, including clear information on delivery times (not exceeding 30 days unless otherwise agreed) and transparency on costs, taxes, and potential customs duties. Please note that post-Brexit, shipments to the UK may involve additional customs processes, while EU shipments benefit from seamless intra-EU movement.
1. Order Processing Time
Orders are typically processed and prepared for shipment within 3-5 business days from the date of purchase confirmation. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the EU and UK. During peak seasons (e.g., summer months) or high-demand periods, processing may take up to 7 business days. You'll receive an email confirmation once your order is processed. For customized or personalized items, allow an additional 2-3 business days for production.
2. Shipping Options and Fees
We partner with trusted carriers such as DHL, UPS, and local postal services (e.g., Royal Mail for the UK) to ensure efficient delivery. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your order weight, dimensions, destination, and selected method. We offer the following options:
- Standard Shipping: 7-10 business days after dispatch. Fees: €35/£30 for orders below €90/£80; free for orders above €90/£80 (depending on order size and destination).
- Express Shipping: 3-5 business days after dispatch. Fees start from €20-€30 for EU and £15-£25 for the UK.
- Priority Shipping: 1-3 business days after dispatch (available in select countries like Germany, France, and the Netherlands). Fees start from €30+ for EU and £25+ for the UK.
All fees include VAT where applicable; however, for UK shipments, additional customs duties or import taxes may apply and are the customer's responsibility. We display estimated fees upfront at checkout for full transparency.
3. International Shipping Within EU and UK
We ship from our warehouse in the Netherlands to all EU member states and the UK. If a product is available in our EU warehouse in the Netherlands and a UK customer wishes to purchase it, we can fulfill the order, but the correct VAT and duties will be applied at checkout or upon import. Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to carrier schedules, customs clearance (for UK), weather, or holidays. Total delivery time (processing + transit) is typically 10-15 business days for standard shipping. For remote areas (e.g., islands or rural regions), add 2-3 extra days.
- EU-Specific Notes: Shipments within the EU are subject to standard VAT rates, which are included in your order total. No additional customs fees apply for intra-EU deliveries.
- UK-Specific Notes: As a non-EU destination, UK orders may incur customs duties, import VAT, and handling fees upon arrival. These are calculated by UK customs authorities and paid by the recipient. We recommend checking gov.uk for current rates.
We do not ship hazardous materials (e.g., certain chemicals or pressurized items) due to transport regulations.
4. Delivery Time Estimates
Orders should arrive approximately 7-10 business days after the ship date for standard options, but we commit to delivery within 30 calendar days as per EU regulations unless delays are communicated. Factors like carrier delays or force majeure events (e.g., strikes) may extend this. If your order is delayed beyond estimates, we'll notify you via email and offer options such as partial refunds or cancellations.
5. Tracking and Notifications
Once shipped, you'll receive a tracking number via email. Track your package directly on the carrier's website (e.g., dhl.com or ups.com). For real-time updates, sign up for notifications from the carrier.
6. Lost, Missing, or Damaged Packages
If your package doesn't arrive within the estimated timeframe, is lost, or arrives damaged:
- Contact us within 14 days of the expected delivery date at eu-support@connellyskis.com.
- Provide your order number and details. We'll investigate with the carrier and resolve by reshipping, refunding, or replacing items.
- For damaged items, include photos for faster processing. We cover insurance for lost or damaged shipments up to the order value.
7. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges
In compliance with EU consumer rights, you have a 14-day cooling-off period to return items for any reason (starting from receipt). Returns are free within the EU; for the UK, you cover return shipping. Custom items may not be returnable unless defective. Full details are in our separate Returns Policy. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
